The Berri Hospital is part of the Riverland Health Services. Our Hospital is a country general hospital and 36 beds for patients with an acute illness. Our hospital provides accident and emergency, medical, day and inpatient surgical, obstetrics and high dependency care. The Riverland Private Hospital, a 12 bed facility, is also collocated with the Berri Hospital.

We provide a 24-hour accident and emergency service and medical cover.

When you arrive at the Berri Hospital accident and emergency, you will be seen by the registered nurse to collect information and assess your illness or injury.

 

In a medical emergency, it is important that you do not ‘self present’ to hospital. SA Ambulance Service emergency medical dispatch support officers can provide advanced first-aid advice over the phone while an ambulance is on its way to you.

There is an out-of-pocket fee payable for out of hours clinic services.

General wards: 11.00 am to 8.00 pm

Maternity ward: 3.00 pm to 7.00 pm

Any visitors who are required to be in the hospital building outside these hours will need to register at the admissions desk and receive an identity badge.

Parking is available at the front of the hospital as well as additional parking on Maddern Street. There is also disabled parking onsite. 

The building is wheelchair accessible and there are toilets available for people with disability. Please ask at Reception.

Riverland Community Health Service is part of the Riverland Health Services and provides therapeutic nursing and allied health professional services, specialised assessment, support services, health promotion and advice on health issues.

 

The buildings are wheelchair accessible and there are toilets for people with disability. Please ask at Reception.
