Gumeracha Hospital is part of the Hills, Southern Fleurieu Kangaroo Island cluster. The hospital is a 34 bed hospital offering acute medical, aged care, palliative care and primary health care. It has 28 residential aged care and six beds for people receiving active medical treatment. The hospital has a 24 hour accident and emergency department. It provides private x-ray facilities and day centre activities twice weekly.

Accident and emergency

This is a 24-hour service. When you arrive at accident and emergency, you will be seen by the duty nurse to collect information and assess your illness or injury.

In a medical emergency, it is important that you do not ‘self present’ to hospital. SA Ambulance Service emergency medical dispatch support officers can provide advanced first-aid advice over the phone while an ambulance is on its way to you.

Visiting hours

Visiting hours are 10.00 am to 8.00 pm.

There is parking onsite, including disabled parking.

The building is wheelchair accessible and there are toilets for people with disability.

Adelaide Hills Community Health Services (AHCHS) is part of the Hills, Southern Fleurieu Kangaroo Island cluster. The health service is a publicly funded health unit providing a range of services which sustain and promote good health

Accident and emergency

There are no emergency facilities at this site. The closest accident and emergency facilities are located at the Mount Barker and Districts Health Service.

Opening hours

The centre is open weekdays from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.

Glenview Homes is part of the Hills Southern Fleurieu Kangaroo Island cluster. The hostel is a 25 bed facility located in Gumeracha. Low care accommodation and respite to older people with preference to people with family members in the district and who satisfy the necessary criteria for entry into residential accommodation.
