Accident and emergency services are available at Keith and District Hospital adjacent to the Community Health Service facility in Hill Street.
The centre is open 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Thursday. The centre is closed Friday
There is no disabled parking onsite. The building is not wheelchair accessible and there are no toilets for people with disability.
Keith Community Health
Keith Community Health Service provides comprehensive integrated, quality health care to the community of Keith and surrounding districts. We are part of the South East Regional Community Health Service (SERCHS).
We provide allied health and mental health services, support and information for people of all ages including older people and services for Aboriginal community members in the south east of South Australia.

Allied health services we provide include nutritional advice, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, podiatry, social work and speech pathology. These services cater for all ages, including young children who may need help with their development.

This unit provides assessment and case management for people with a mental health illness. Teams provide services at Mount Gambier, Millicent, Bordertown and an outreach service for Penola, Naracoorte, Kingston and Robe.
For after hours services, Lifeline is available 24 hours for the cost of a local call on 13 11 14. The Aboriginal Health staff work with local Aboriginal communities and the Pangula Mannamurna Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service to improve health and wellbeing. Staff advise, inform and refer to mainstream services. They provide health promotion programs and counselling, and assist health workers to understand the needs and culture of the Aboriginal community.
The Aboriginal Home and Community Care Team provide home-based services and social support to older members of the Aboriginal community. We do not provide after hours or crisis services or cater for transport to appointments.
Local services include community nursing, Meals on Wheels, equipment provision, continence advice, consultation on support for older people, home help, day care and exercises for the elderly.

Keith Day Care provides social, recreational activities and fitness for people with disabilities, older people and those with dementia or related disorders.

The South East Regional Aged Care Assessment Team has a team based in Mount Gambier and Naracoorte servicing the whole of the South East. The ACAT team will assist you to decide the kind of care that will best meet your needs when you are no longer able to manage at home without assistance. We provide information on suitable care options and assess older people for appropriate residential or community care services such as Community Aged Care Packages or other Commonwealth Funded Community Care Programs.
Community services include nursing and home support. Specific support is available in diabetes care, women’s health, breast care, palliative care, continence advice, immunisations and child development, among others.
