The South Coast District Hospital is part of the Hills Southern Fleurieu Kangaroo Island cluster. Our hospital provides 24-hour emergency care and acute inpatient medical and surgical services. These include day surgery, maternity and obstetric care, palliative care, cancer care, renal dialysis and cardiac rehabilitation and pulmonary rehabilitation.

Accident and emergency

Local general practitioners provide services to the hospital.

Locum doctors provide services in accident and emergency from 8.00 pm to 8.00 am seven days a week.

In a medical emergency, it is important not to ‘self present’ to hospital. SA Ambulance Service emergency medical dispatch support officers can provide advanced first-aid advice over the phone while an ambulance is on its way to you.Hospital Gardens

Visiting hours: 10.00 am to 8.00 pm.

Car parking

Car parking is available from Bay Road and Harbour View Terrace entrances. Drop off parking is available at the main entrance off Bay Road.

Disabled access

The building is wheelchair accessible and there are toilets for people with disability. Please enquire at Reception.

The Southern Fleurieu Health Service is part of the Hills, Southern Fleurieu and Kangaroo Island cluster. We provide comprehensive community based health services for people living in the Southern Fleurieu region, including Goolwa and Yankalilla.

Opening hours

Opening hours are 8.45 am to 5.00 pm, Monday to Fridays.
